For the calendar year 2006, St. John Rescue member have responded to 44 separate incidents through May 1st, 2006. This is significantly up from previous years. The situation on our roads has not noticeably improved. People are still driving much too fast. It is only a matter of time before a major catastrophe will happen on our island. PLEASE SLOW DOWN AND BE COURTEOUS. We are still asking residents to clearly number their homes and install street signs. This will make it so much easier for emergency services to find you when you desperately need our help.
